Help!!! Window shudders when closing.

I have a 99 EX coupe and the driver window does not close close all the way to seal the window closed. It just shudders when it gets to the top like it is skipping and keeps trying to close. It acts normal when opening the window though. The teeth on the arm look fine and the rollers seem fine too. I am wondering if it might be the motor, the teeth on the motor actually.The window goes up and then a inch from the top it starts to shudder and then it keeps trying to close all the way but slips back down about an 1/8th of an inch and continues the process. You can pull the window all the way to the top but it wont stay up there. It is a real b***h to see anything in the power window area. Plus my doors are dynomated so that makes it even MORE fun.......(sigh). I need to get this fixed since I am planning on going to Battle this weekend. Anyone got a technical pic of the door?

K...a tooth on the gearing for the guide is chiped and rounded off. Is the guide for the 99-00 the same as the guide for the 96-98? I am gonna have to hit the junk yard since none of the auto places carry the part. They carry the motor but not the guide and Honda will take days to get it here. I hope I can get one from the junkyard....I mean salvage yard, cheaper than the 100 bills the auto places listed for the part they don't carry!!! ARRGGGG!!!! I need to get this fixed tomorrow!! Any help from you guys would be great.

Same thing happened to me with my 96, about a lot of teeth in the middle were rounded off and wouldn''t roll the windows u. I'm not sure if the guides are the same, but replacing it isn't all that hard.

Replaced the bad regulator, thank god the motor was fine. So now my window works right. Got a pretty good deal on the part too from Honda.
