Help with 99-00 Radio

The radio i'm installing is asking for a code. (Stock radio)
My friend that gave me the radio didn't give me a code for the cd player and the car is now long gone. Is there anything i can do to get the code?

I don't know but its asking for a code.

There should be the number on the radio. Pull it out and look in the back or the bottom and there should be some kind of number. Give it to the dealership and they'll give you the code.

Yeah i have the 96-98 one but i don't like that the cd player is external and its right behind the cup holder so i'm trying to "upgrade" to a 99-00.

I've never seen one with a code of "0000" and I've gone through a LOT of stock radios.

Codes can be in the glovebox often too. Some employees at Honda won't give you the code btw. You might have to talk to someone else.

It's probably the only way if you don't have the car it came from.

That's the only way. You have to contact Honda.

Service is the only place who can give you the radio code. Sometimes they won't. Some vehicles will have the code or serial # on the glovebox. If you hold down 1 & 6 it will give you the code as well. I can't remember if that works for all vehicles though.

Called and had to give a crap ton of info. They asked for just about everything except a urine sample or maybe DNA. But i guess thats just to make sure these things don't get stolen.

oops. Yeah, i got the code. i meant to put that on there. However the harness you made doesn't illuminate the radio buttons. Why is that?
