Help with Headlight...

My drivers side headlight only works when the high beams are on. When I use the low beams it doesnt work. So I changed the fuses to all my lights(since I went out and bought a pack of fuses) and that didnt help it. The bulb isnt burnt out because it works when its using the high beam.... what can be the problem?

6th gen Civics use dual filament bulbs (two filaments - one for high, and one for low beam). Switch your headlight bulbs and see if it works then. ;)

Ok So I went out and bought some silverstar bulbs... I got the passengers side bulb in no problem. But I cant get the drivers side one in(the one that needs to be fixed lol). There isnt enough room to do anything. I can get it unplugged but theres a screw holding the metal peice that secures the bulb in that I cant unscrew cause theres no room. I tried moving the power steering fluid holder thing up but that doesnt move up enough to get a small screw driver in place or even fit my hand in there. I dont want to take off the bumper, any other ideas.

u don't have to take the headlight or anything else off to get the headlight in... granted it is a tight fit but just move the reservoir and feel around and u should be able to get it out, not that hard :???:

*edit* wait so ur trying to unscrew the holder  just unclip it from the side and take the bulb out

I can get my driver's side headlight changed without moving anything. I just reach my hand behind the light, remove the plug, remove the boot, unclasp the clip and remove the bulb. It's cramped, but I can do it. Moving the reservoir doesn't give me much more room and it's just easier for me to keep it where it is. =) Then again, one of the things we need to do at work is replace light bulbs, so doing a Civic is the least of my worries as far as difficulty and lack of room to install.

The clip was screwed down to be extra secure I guess. Anyway I had my friends daughter do it(she has really small hands) it was a breeze for her. My hands were too big to fit in that cramped space. All is good now. Anyone else have silverstars? Its not night time yet, but they are alot more yellowish than my last bulbs. Maybe I just have to wait till night to see what they really look like. :???:

I've had SilverStars before but found somethign cheaper at my store. I got the APC Super Whites or whatever they're called for $12 cheaper (before discount). I'm just not willing to pay $19 a bulb for something I can pretty much get cheaper. I might have to get some new bulbs for the fogs soon though. They're looking yellowish since I put these new bulbs in.

I bought some silverstars 3 weeks ago and I had to return them because there was no difference between my stock ones and the silverstars. They were the same color, brightness, I had to get my 39.99 back :D

Before I bought the Silverstars I searched on here to see what people thought of them and there was good praise for the bulbs. But in almost every post there were no pictures to show what they look like. So I'll throw some up for people who search about silverstars later...(Pics are blurry, shaky hand. Also no flash in any of the pics)

Close up of the light

Low beams against some doors leaning against a wall lol

Low beams from afar

High Beams from afar

The high beams look pretty white compared to the low beams....

My silverstars are really white. Much differance from stock. I love 'em. I also love blinding people when they think I have my lights on bright

I dont think their bright enough to blind people. You need real HIDs for that.

I can't think of anything. Fuses should cover both sides though.. just like flashers do too. So I woudl doubt it would be a fuse problem. :what: Possibly wiring? I'd expect to see neither the high or low beam to work then though, but I coul dbe wrong, I'm no expert.

Btw, it's spelled "radio" and "bezel". ;)

Well, since your low beam doesn't come on... sortta seems like a problem... If you figure out what it is in the next about... ten days, if I can get it through work I'll get it for you with my 20% off.

Maybe you need a new harness? I'd imagine the wiring farther back is okay if you're getting power to everything otherwise.
