You WANT a loud ricey sound? Just go buy the cheapest exhaust system on eBay.

Hahah. So just poke some holes in the factory muffler's baffles.

Are you being serious? I can't tell because this post reads like sarcasm, but then I see your name is rice4life. If you really want something that sounds bad(ricey) just buy the cheapest ebay system you can find and keep the silencer off of it. You'll be ricing it up in no time!

If you ask me, it's a step in the wrong direction... unless you're loaded and money doesn't mean s*** to you. A cheap exhaust is going to live up to it's price tag. People are going to laugh at you when you pull off at lights, you're going to attract unwanted attention from cops, you're not going to gain any performance, and ultimately it's going to fall apart leaving you with nothing to show for your $200 except for a legacy around town as the "the car that sounds like s***".

The really crap ones won't fit too well. OBX makes a mid-priced one ($275), otherwise you're looking at $400 and up.

Not trying to rip you apart, bro. Just tossing my 2 cents out there. You stated in the original post that you wanted something "nice", "cheap" and "ricey", and I couldn't really judge whether or not you were serious from that list of requirements for your prospective exhaust system... because that combination usually doesn't mix well. Either you're looking at "nice" and expensive, or just "cheap" and "ricey".

All I was trying to say(with the use of a little sarcasm) was that you want to stay away from the no-name eBay replica exhaust systems. As hendo pointed out, they usually don't have the right bends or the flanges are poorly welded, which causes them not to fit correctly.

The other fact I was alluding to was that the token "rice" sound people usually refer to is often accentuated by very loud and obnoxious tones... and I was merely cautioning that this loud, noisy exhaust sound is typically not desired, and may be an inconvenience.

What if he thinks rice means something good
Then he needs to use a different adjective because the term "rice", in the context of this website and all other venues concerned with tuner automobiles, carries with it the connotation of negative, tacky and undesirable modifications.
