I just got a new sub woofer box for my 10 kicker solo-baric S10L5 its a dual voice coil sub. Currently its wired Parallel according to kicker manual. Meaning the both positive connects act as one with a 10 awg wire then 10awg to round speaker connect. The same is for the negative. I have a 8 awg negative from the amp to round speaker connect on back of sub box. For the positive I used 10 awg from the amp to round speaker connect. I included pictures to help. I was thinking of upgrading the all wire to 8 awg so its all the same. But I can't find a company that makes 8 awg female connectors. The amp I using to power the sub is a Rockford Fosgate 800.4 heatsink model.
I didn't have the same amount of length for 8, 10 awg to use the same awg. That's why its two different awg.

How do you know did you try it out? I tried it out and the sub is hitting harder than it was in my last box. I have a Greek Flag hanging from my mirror that the beads move from the vibration now. With the last box the beads didn't move.

Too small for the sub, and tuned real high

You seem to like it, though which is what matters.

it says 1.75 cubic feet which is small for solobarics
well according to a woofers etc employee its made for solobaric. I measured out the dimensions, and in inches its
19L x 16 1/6 W x 13 1/2. My mind was set on getting an official kicker solobaric enclosure. Either one of those boxes I wouldn't of minded. Which ever one the sub performed the best in. I'm able to do all the wiring myself with no problems. I know its not that hard to figure out for some people.

Those stock kicker boxes are terrible too

they're tuned high for maximum spl and sound bad for daily systems.

for daily setups, u want something tuned real low, not high.
