Hi guys, two things:
1. How I remove the stock handle that is used to open and close the windows in a 99 DX.
2. When you guys attach your amp to the rear seat. What type of screws you use and how do you do it. Do you simply attach them with screws to the metal on the back part of the rear seat, because mine under the carpet has like a metal frame and then the foam from the cushioning.

Thanks

the handles require a window crank removal tool, about 10bucks at an autoparts store

as far as teh amp goes, i used sheetmetal screws fairly short, and just went right in to the metal, that was in my old civic... theres a lot of ways to do it, just make sure the wires are placed so they dont pinch when you open and close the seat

This is the best thing to do to mount your amp. The back of your rear seats is covered with some material but at the bottom there's usually a zipper or some kind of plastic s**t to hold it together cuz it's not all one piece. Take a tape measure and measure the back of your rear seat. Once you get the dimensions go to Home Depot and they will cut you a piece of plywood of the desired dimensions. Put the piece of plywood under the material, zip it or close it back up. Lean the seats forward, place the amp on it and attach with 4 wood screws.
That's the setup I have, it never moves and I didn't have any problems with it. It's a lot easier to do this, instead of trying to place the amp right over the metal bars (which you can't see cuz of the material) and hoping that it will work. Home Depot will cut that piece of wood for you for under $10. That's my opinion, hope it helps.
