Depends. Find out more information. Accidents? eGay turbo, or name brand? What's it tuned on? Emissions in your area? It's really good price, but ask a LOT of questions about it.

13 pounds? stock internals? if he has stock internals, be lucky that s**t hasn't blown up yet. A stock z6 is good for like... 8lbs.

they could both be. but if its stock internals with 13psi, that motor's life is SEVERELY shortened. You can upgrade the internals, but it's a PITA to do. Keep questioning him to find out everything thats in the car. When I say everything, I mean the kind of injectors, what it has for internals, who it was tuned by, who manufactured the turbo, how many miles on the turbo, is it leaking oil, etc.

IMO Don't make a purchase if you don't know what is in the car, it could come back to bite you in the ass in the end.

i see what your sayin. he said it has stock internals. but he runs 13 pounds not that often he said you jsut put in the computer what you want to run.

And that is bad, because the motor typically cannot handle 13lbs on stock internals.

that motor probably wont last long if it has stock internals

No. It's not. Not unless you have money to rebuild the motor or drop another in it in short time. There are toooooo many unanswered questions and the fact that he has run 13 pounds (even if it wasn't all the time) is very disturbing.

No offense, but someone such as yourself that has NO CLUE what they are doing shouldn't be getting into something like this. It doesn't look like it is going to be a turn key for long. There is a LOT of fixing and tinkering in this car's future.

^ agreed to short of a description sounds like no name turbo, because a huge selling point in a turbo car is a great name brand turbo so if it was he would have said so. That motor will not last you any amount of time running 13 pounds on stock internals. Defintly not worth it first car or not will only be a money pit IMO.

for me i think its worth it. there arent very many civics close by for sale and even if they are they could be s**t like one i went to look at. im not in it for the turbo but wouldve got one eventually. im in an auto mechanics class and if anything goes wrong i buy the parts and fix it there. ive saved my ass off for a while and i think this is worth my hard work.

Im not trying to hate on you, but you asked an entire forum a question a ton of very respected very knowledgeable people [not talking about myself by the way]. A few who drive a boosted car now or has boosted one everyone told you its not worth it and it will mess up and you just say i think its worth it every time. No matter what somebody tells you everybody was just trying to help you out so you woulndt spend a bunch of money on a car that isnt going to last. If the stock internals have been wore on like everybody thinks there wont be much fixing it when she kicks a rod. Not trying to be an ass so dont take it that way just stated the facts.

i understand what your saying. im just tired of waiting. who knows maybe its not beat to hell. if it is ill just have to deal with it and put whatever i need into it. kind of a learning expierance. im getting the brand of the turbo today. personally i dont think its beat. he said its his DD and keeps it in the garage. i respect this forum for all the knowledge thats here. if it breaks ill come back here and learn to fix it.
