Today i looked in my trunk to find out what the weird rattle im getting all of a sudden and i see that those two black bars(i dont know what the hell they are) are connected to a plastic grey clip and the grey clip connects to a metal peices thats connected to the trunk well the metal peice snapped so thats was the rattle. so my first question is

what do thos black bars do?

are they important?

will honda fix is even tho i have stuff done to my car?

and has anyone heard of this happening before?

hmm.. i'm not too sure about what they do... but Honda should fix them if you bring it to them.... they're required to fix them unless you or something you've done to your car broke them.

i know exactly what your talking about, they are your torsion bars....... and yes mine rattle like a b***h (the only thing that rattles in my car).................. be careful when you buy 6x9 speakers... some have a big enough magnet to hit them...

and... i just took the metal piece of........ get some zip ties and tie them together.......... works just as well..

are you talking about the two bars that X cross each other form like end to end?

if this is what you are talking about, they are part of you trunk lid hinge/spring machanisim!!

and most probably the deader will try to sell u new parts, while a boby shop might "FIX" it!!

That's exactly what happned to me so I had to return them..........
