an amplifier wire touched the chassis?

EDIT*
im thinking that if the power supply wire touched the signal wire, bad things could happen to the cd player. as in... the internal amp of the cd player got fried to a crisp. any funny smells coming from it after it happend?

no sound at all, or just from your subs?

fire? explosions? naked girls? damn... i dont know whats wrong with it dude. could be a ground issue. wait a second, was it a subwoofer speaker wire that touched the chassis? you just took the subs out right, not the amp too?

if everything powers up, its the outputs on the deck. That is if everything is back in the car and there are no more wires touching

i took out the subs and left them out, disconected the amp... that was the only out put that i was using... all that the cd player is using now is the stock wiring and there's still no sound...

cd decks usually come wiht a fuse between the harness you sure you check that?. take out the deck and check that fuse and check the fuse you put from the battery that i am hoping you put. maybe you can draw a little diagram on paint to show us how you connected everything ? that woudl help us a little

the fuse on the power cable was fine... checked the back of the deck and the wirivg harness and there weren't ant fuses... how quickly can you fry the internal amp on the deck? cause that's what I'm guessing happeved...

Your radio should have one fuse located on the back, keep looking, either way if they radio turns on its displays that sound is suppose to be coming out of the deck then it isn't a fuse. You probably blew a channel or something, and this is something you can only remedy by replacing your deck. Keep searching, it could a s**t load different things but thats the most probable considering the wire hit chasis.
