My brother has a 99 Accord. The cd player stopped working and is displaying the word 'CODE'. Now I'm assuming with the aniti-theft or whatever that the code is going to be car specific...any idea where I can find this code? All help is much appreciated.

Who ever bought the car new received a card that had the security code for your vehicle. The code is an anti-theft device that is activated when the battery is disconected. This code might also be found in the owners manual. It is vehicle specific and if you cannot find the code you best find the previous owner for help or just get a new head unit. When I first had this prob I had to call the dealership that the last owner bought it from and impersonate him to get this code from them.

All you have to do is pull the radio out, its very easy in the accord (i too have a 99) and CALL any dealership service department, read them the serial number and they will give you the code over teh phone

OR you can PM me the serial number and I'll get you the code, then make sure you WRITE it down (i taped mine to the bottom) and put a card in the manual

do NOT type in random code, after 5 or so it will lock the radio forever
