about 4-6 months ago i purchased a chipped ecu from xenocron. The other night was the first time i tried using it in my b18c turbo setup. Now he supplies two basemaps with his ecu's. I had the first basemap in. The car fired up and was at a very low idle. So i figured i would try the other basemap to see if they idle would come up any. So i through that basemap in. When i start to crank the car over the ecu started rolling smoke from what i think are resistors. Positions r58 and r59. These things were glowing red. Any one have any idea what these go to so i can figure out why it fried. I have my ecu in my glove box for easier access to the chip. Does by chance the ecu need to be grounded to the car chasiss? Also is it possible to put the chip in backward is the ZIF socket? It fits in both ways so i was unsure of that. Give me some help please.
