hey just got my intake...

well i didnt buy it off a racing shop i went to the local all american hardware store and bought a 30'inch aluminum pipe about 2 1/2'inch open hole.. then i got one of those pipes that u could bend... thats aluminum also... so i intalled it yesterday.. i had most of the other parts i needed. but i didnt know how i was going to put the lil sensor thing on it.. so what i did it on the pipe that bends i drilled a hole on it and put the sensor in there with a rubber lil hose that way it wont move.. so heres what it looked like yesterday...

and here is what it looks like today after i painted it... the sticker is there cause it kinda messed up on the paint and i hate savas shop.. but what do u guys think.

Looks pretty decent! Do you feel any effects? I read in an article that you could really harm your motor if the air coming in wasn't regulated correctly!

yeah i felt a lil more pull on the car... and but the regulation on air never heard of it but.. i have done other friends cars and they just waste more gas which i think everyone does with intakes... but other than that its ok... and thanks

wait thats a 98. whats up with the intake manifold? i like the color i was thinking of making one and painting it that color. but dont u think the black heats up or did u use a high temp paint?

i used high heat paint... my car is a DX y7 thats how they come, well thats how mine came..

Performance intakes, never. The more cooler the motor is the more hp and more fuel it burns.

no it dont rattle at all... but i have some stupid rattle coming from something else ima get to the bottom of that...

front mount cold air!

shoulda gone with a front mount, adds lots of horses! i had a custom made short ram system similar to what you've got on your d16 and then i upgraded to an arospeed front mount cold air system. it doenst make that much difference on the dyno but on the road it packs a big punch. sounds awesome too (make sure to put an air bypass valve on a front mount intake always! $50 now can save you hundreds or thousands down the line). ive got some picks of the system on my car, email me at mugenkid18@hotmail.com if you wanna check them out.
