hey sup everyone...i have sohc zc non vtec and just put a new tranny but the problem now is my engine shakes, backfires to much.....im not sure what could it be because it didnt used to do that with the old transmission....anyone have any ideas what it might be ?

Motor mounts and plugs/wires maybe, or your ignition rotor is malfunctioning.

I can't see a trans being the reason for back firing.What did you pull off or take apart to get your old trans in/out? Pull the dizzy off or timing belt by chance?

It has nothing to do with the transmission.

It's a spark problem. Either crossed wires, distributor, timing off, or bad compression.

Check your wires, cause my wires were corroded in my civic causing it to backfire a lot.
