Whats up CC! My name is Darrin, and i'm new to the site. Proud owner of a 91 EF-Si. Got a few questions and I hope you guys can help me. My civic came with a junk yard D16a6 build that needed a head change. And currently my civic is under-going sergery and the motor is out. My motor build (which i have the parts ready) is a D16a6 block, with a y8 head (has the vtec solenoid but going with-out it), P29 pistons, Exeddy Stage 1 Clutch, and everything else is stock (to my knowledge). If you have any tips as to what i can add or change please don't hesitate. Any imput helps.

Welcome bro, always fun to see more Cali peeps. Idk about your question so BUMP even though its on the first page lol. One question, from what I read says you're going without vtec even though you have the y8 head, why's that?

i don't feel like putting a hole in my block just yet for another oil line, i was gonna go turbo so i picked up the y8 head, but then decided not to turbo it  i want to build up to turbo later, from what my friends say "Once you go Turbo its just not the same..."

Welcome!
IMO I think you might as well hook up the y8 head since you already got it..
