hi i just got a stock 00 si and wondering about turbo

um i heard u cant turbo a b16 high compresion motor cuz it will blow up but i read here that u can i just wana know the basics and where i can learn about how to turbo my car and what i might have to mod for it to be safe if i cant turbo my stock motor i have a lot of questions so give me a lot of feedback

You can turbo a b16 but you cant run mad DSM boost on it... basics are get a nice turbo kit dont boost like crazy, stay in the fuel guide lines, and get the supporting mods and have fun

whoever told you that is full of s**t

you dont want to throw on a t4 and max out the boost... but there's some killer turbo kits for the motor and even more options for building your own kit... go for it

my suggestion is go and read up on this site

and before you have anything installed, really read up on turbos.... the more you know, the less chance you have of f**king something up

like slick said whoever said that is full of s**t, in fact b16's LOVE boost (just not over 9psi stock) and they respond very well to it, just make sure you do it right and safe and you'll be fine, there are only a handfull on here who actually have boost and i'm sure if you search your gonna find out ALOT, anyhow good luck
