hi.. need help.

hi guys my name is Jesus im 17 yrs old I'm new to this site. I ride a Red Honda civic dx 1994 stick shift and I would like to get some help from people. I'm trying to build this car from the ground. dont know that much bout brands and engine performance but would like some help in basically everything. my car is basically stock and would like to add a lot of things to it. anybody?
I would add pictures soon about my car and would like people to tell me how to start.

well it all depends on what you want to do, show it, track it, if you want performce start saving up for a swap and trubo build an engine ground up, cant forget about suspension ejs and all civic look way better lowered, not sure what you intentions for the car are but theres a start

welcome ol mighty jesus, sounds like you are a youngster with no job yet. start working and saving up your cash. Do not modify anything yet, I say you do some research and learn about everything. spend a few months browsing this website, researching parts online and at the store and look at craigslist. Figure out what you want for your car. Your goals etc. start off by looking at other civics on this site and look at what you like about them and dislike. After a while you will develop your taste. Then you could start your modifications. I made a mistake and jumped right until modifying and now i have to back track, i spend a lot of money on all the wrong things, and need to re-buy alot of things.

thank you all for your comments .. and well he mention a good point in the web research, but one thing is that i would like to get rid of the rust spots on my car and the paint i would like it shinier. like i said before i have not that much experience on car performances and all that stuff but i know how to do something. i have a job and everything.
