Decided to see what's popping on CC and so.. I signed up *woot*
Okay so let's see..
I drive my 99 Civic DX Forrest Green daily to work and back + Errands..
I am currently tuning my o9 Civic Si Coupe for an N/A build (nothing extreme, don't know how that puts things into perspective lol)
I used to have a VW R32 and I will say I loved the car but the car was a little to much for me to maintain/tune/build and it really wasn't playing nice when it came to fuel economy (back then I only had the r32 to go around for everything T_T )
Once I finish my o9 Si , I plan on working on my DX and still not entirely sure what to do with it. So, as a new member here, maybe I can ask for some advice, opinions, suggestions, etc.
Before I go on to say, I am not the biggest fan of exterior mods unless it is something purely simple, clean, and not extravagant. i.e.: Body kits, Big aluminum GT wings, ebay halo projectors, bmw m3 fender grills, and the whole nine yards are things that do not catch my interest.
I do however like simple lip kits, tint, and just things that keep the car looking clean and sharp. i.e: the jdm look on any civic is always a winner in my book!
What will definitely keep me reading about, or looking, would be performance upgrades that work effectively, efficiently, and of course above all.. Safely! (I don't know if my idea of performance upgrades really makes any sense) But for example, it would be something as simple as running upgraded camshafts (anything beyond drop ins) without any valvetrain upgrade would be considered an improper upgrade or.. unsafe.
Anyways, my overall perspective on a civic is... Efficient, Economical, Affordable, and most definitely a car with major potential depending on what the owner wants out of it.
Nice to meet everyone!
