high comp turbo

hey whats up guys.. i kno this sounds crazy but i have a ls vtec with ctr pistons in it and a b16 head.. my tuner says that i can run like 5 lbs of booost.. 10 the max.. of course that would require tuning but i wanted some suggestions from you guys..

you could do around 6 or 7max i would think (if your turbo is small, t3 14b t25 etc) but you WILL need an excellent tune

i heard u can get to around 250hp on a stock ls/vtec. its not psi its horsepower that blows motors

his is probably pretty damn high since hes using the b16 head and CTR pistons. Get a good ass tune.

yup, I wouldnt risk it.

i was on my friend sn before this is me with the ctrs in the ls vtec... umm so would you say that this is possible or its not worth the try? because i would think this setup would make lots of hp.. it ripps now as it is and i think boost would do it because im not a fan of nitrous..

what's the CP? Just becarful, pump gas+high CP+turbo=detonation. Not saying it's not possible, you just have less room for error.

well.. my tuner/friend says the compression is like 11-12-1 and i have a b16 head not milled.. ls head gasket and also ctr pistons.. i was thinking if i had like some 450cc injectors.. and ran around 5-7 psi it should be okay.. what you think?

yes, a thicker headgasket would work, but i wouldn't make that your first choice in lowering the compression

replace the ctr pistons with low compression ones for starters

i was planning on that but i wasnt trying to run lots of boost.. only thing i was really scared of is boost creep... i know i can possibly maintain 5 psi and make around 270 hp to the wheels..

boost creep only really happens when you have a crappy manifold and/or bad wastegate.
