high temperature!!!

Hi, i´m new here, just have a question, the problem with the temperature is when i drive for like an hour on the highway and stop the temperature goes up and when i accelerate the temperature goes down, but when i´m dirving in the city the car can stay for an hour and never pass the middle. i changed the thermostat and water pump already.
i need help cuz i drive a lot on highway.

I think there's something wrong with your radiator fans. While you're driving the air cools down the radiator but when you slow down there's less flow of air and your fans don't kick in causing it to warm up. With the car off turn the ignition on and turn ac on and see if the fan starts running. Easy test to check fans.

tnks i checked the fans and works correclty, some mechanics said that could be the head gasket or the water pump. But i think that the temperature will go up in the city while driving or parked, if i´m wrong how can i check those things?

ive had this problem with mine, it only goes up about 2 bars too much, i changed the stat and sensors and they didnt work, it turned out to be the radiator cap not holding its pressure, dunno if this is any help but there a cheap thing to change

tnx for ur help, it goes to the top, i never let goes to the red zone, i already change the cap for a brand new and change the resevoir tank too, has new hoses. A "new" mechanic told me that i need to clean the inside of the radiator, but i been flushing it every month and still the same, i been with this problem for like a year.

Does your car run different when it gets hot? Any sputtering or hesitation? My EK used to get warm then start sputtering and I changed out a $7 coolant temp sensor and the problem went away. I also had to rewire the fan switch (the sensor going into the thermostat housing) the connections were real loose. Just check a few things.

You've only got some light mods, correct? (you mentioned DC Headers, eBay CAI etc.) Do you drive the car hard/plan to drive it hard? If so, look into Cometic (a bit overkill, but they're great head gaskets).

you may have found your answer already but my wifes jeep had the same issue, when the fan was tested it worked fine, but her issue was the fan relay. check that

Felpro gaskets would be fine.

Felpro gaskets work fine, unless you wanna buy some cosmetic gaskets which would be the best option but overkill.
