hitachi ht18s twin scroll.. anyone use one of these?

i have a old hitachi ht18s twin scroll from an 88 10th anaversary rx7. i have done some research and found that it is similar to a t4 style turbo and uses a garrett cartrage.

has anyone had experience using this turbo? i plan to hook it up to a b18b1. or whatever the basic engine is that came in an integra with no vtec. my target power is 220hp and a fair amount of torque.

i understand that the turbo in question is suitable for 8 lbs and is efficient up to 10 lbs of boost. wondering if anyone has had success with this setup or if i will be the first to attempt it.

that thing is quick. i need to start collecting the other parts like header and piping. id like to keep my a/c so i can have my co-pilots (my kids) riding comfortably. anyone still have a/c in their turbo civ?

There are better turbos out there. Proprietary flange fyi

I see. maybe I should look for a kit meant for an integra since that's the mill I will be using.

a gt35 eh? im not that well versed in how much power different turbos are capable of... gt25 gt35 . im just trying to put together a reliable setup that will last. i know the less power an engine has to endure the longer it can potentialy last. 220hp is modest for most of you guys but im really not trying to create a strait line rocket. i like road course and i just need a good balance of acceleration and handling.

the stock d15 16v is only 105hp and less torque than a craftsman air wrench, its only a little bit fun in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear above 5500 rpm. which is ok for autocross i guess, but i def want to take on a closed circuit race track with a little more gusto and be able to drive her home and enjoy some air conditioning and loud tunes!

gosh I had forgotten about the potato. its been a while since ive had a car worth modding. ill check it out! btw I like your turbo rotary truck! I miss my little fc3s
