honda vs mustang?

i have a question, my homeboy wants me to trade my 2000 honda civic si (120,000km) for his 99 for mustang gt (100,000 mi) the clutch is gone on it and it was rained on with the cover down so it has water damage to the upholstry.

notice the mileage is (km) for honda and (miles) for mustang. you can do the math.

mustang:
sct chip
cold air intake
flow master exhaust (H pipe)
hurst shifter
and a vortec v1 super charger (not installed and missing a belt)

my canadian honda civic si/( canada si-r):
aem short ram intake
rebuilt b16 engine
good condition few scratches on outside other then that very clean.
replaced radio for a jensen dvd/am/fm player

his clutched just took a s**t and has to be replaced other then that i rode with him everyday before the clutch f**ked and it was clean. Compliments from people left and right with the top down :D
sounds sexy as hell. let me know if i should tell him its a deal pros and cons please no haters. sorry if i posted in wrong section newbie :Raza:

a running car w/out water dmg is always better then a clutchless water damaged car..
plus u have a B series, not a D..but up 2 u

mustangs are gay...lucky to see 120k before a rebuild especially being ragged out. crappy gas mileage for a slow car. value is crap also

civics are very popular cars that last forever if taken care of correctly. are still worth some change. get good gas mileage even when heavily modified and can be made fast as hell really cheap

My vote is keep the Civic. lately every1 wants to trade their "American muscle" for a Civic....hmmm wonder why? thats all you see on Craigslist are ads that say " WTT for Civic" and guess what its either a Camaro, Mustang or Trans Am. Why? Cause a 200hp Civic runs better 1/4 times than a 375hp muscle car and gets 2x the gas mileage and will last twice as long

ya b series does rule :agreed: thanx for the reply i would have to buy a new clutch for the mustang and it would cost around 400- 500 dollars for a stage 3 any other opinions?

ya bro. thanx for your opinion. i forget to mention he replaced his motor for a 04 saleen engine with 30,000 miles on it.

saleens are slow too...turbo the b series on a tuned 8psi and smash him haha

I like both cars, but the Civic sounds like it's in better condition..
It's up to you, it depends on what you want.

well those are two completely different cars, with two different values... and according to your profile, you live in tampa. If it's a canadian car in the U.S. then you're looking at an instant %20+ drop in value

a vortech v1 supercharger will run you anywhere from $2700 to $6,200. Depending on the car you own, the supercharger alone might be worth more than your entire car.

So, having said that, Is your car a canadian Si-R and you had to rebuild the engine? a canadian si with a b16 swap? Or is it an american si with a canadian cluster?

How extensive was the water damage in the mustang? Has it been thoroughly cleaned up and checked for mold? Have the exposed electrical contacts been checked for corrosion?

are you sure that the mustangs damage is limited to the clutch?

What are your goals for whatever car you decide to go for/keep?


If you dont answer these questions then nobody is going to be able to make a proper suggestion. You'll end up with more ignorant and biased B.S. like psycho boy is spewing
