Hood Problems

if you open the hood u will see this round rubber on each side. It should be right over the headlight. you can turn that rubber piece clockwise and it will go down. Adjust that piece to whereever you like. Doing that will fix the gap little bit.

Looks like that hood doesn't fit too well, which doesnt help the problem

you may be able to lower the bottom part of the hood latch assembly (the part that isn't connected to the hood, the part connected to the radiator support), you should be able to loosen the bolts holding it, and move it down a bit, you may have to remove the grill..... it might help, it worked for me once.

If all else fails get some pins, the hood looks nice , but if you want it to fit you may have to sacrifice! Again, what brand?

i got the hood off ebay its from winmax technology. i paid 300 for it shipped

Yeah that hood is defected......it doesnt look like there is any way to fix your problem......can you return it?

Is the other side of the hood that high too? If so you can try to raise the bumper and grill up to meet it after lowering the hood as far as you can. If only that side is that high, youve got to get a new hood. Get a VIS, its worth every dollar. Or try www.aerotrends.com, ive got one of their hoods on my 00 SI right now and it fits great. Just dont talk to Jason, hes a douche bag and a liar.

i had a oem style vis hood on my car before i got this vented hood and it fit like a charm but it got keyed to s**t. its all f**ked up

It looks like even if you get it to go flush, it won't fit with the grill! Maybe it's my eyes. Should have gone back to the VIS world, like a glove!
