hood trade

i have a 95 civic ex coupe, a kid at my school also has like the same car (color) just a few different things. Now when i bought my car it had messed up hood (rust) so anyways this kid isnt his car that much, how should i propose and idea of switching hoods? and what would be a good price if i were to ask him about switching hoods and me giving him some money? and advice regarding this will help tons. thanks.

haha yea id like to do that but id rather take my time and do it right, i just hope the kid isnt a d**k, and i hope hes willing to do it for a good price

i have a black one but im not lookn to unload it for cheap. heres how i would go at it
step one if you are sort of friends be like hey whats up
2 hey are you gonna be doin anything to your car you know any mods?
3 if yes be like you should get a cf hood
3b if no be like i was woundering if i could snag your hood i mean you dont seem to be that into cars and i will even give you some money for it but i dont know what it is worth.
4 get him to give you a price also tell him you are tryin to sell it so it needs to look good. what ever price he gives you cut it in half at least. haggle him be like hook a friend up and so on
i could do it if i was there but unless you want to pay for me to fly to you be creative and think it through first good luck
best advise just ask outright
