I wanna know how he was approved to sell an organ for an electronic device. I mean how does insurance cover that??? Ipads aren't that expensive...he got ripped off on that kidney.

The hospital, which admitted contracting out its urology department to a private businessman, denied any knowledge of the surgery.

That's how "insurance covered that". Basically this kid let some internet surgeon do the operation.

really......and no USB, no SD card slot, etc etc...

you have to buy a little white "dongle" thing just to hook up a USB device or use a memory card

I'll take a dual core Acer 11.6" netbook any day instead of an ipad.

Backstory: about 6 months ago, my parents, who own an insurance company that will remain nameless, went to a rather selective meeting with other insurance presidents. the company hosting the meeting gave every couple that came a 64gb iPad 3g....so they come home from this trip with a sweet iPad and their son....myself...is told i have enough technology, they're going to embrace the ipad. fine. i can deal lol.

Today, i come home from work beat tired and wanting my car back from the shop. Sitting on the counter next to the ipad? OH HAI iPAD 2!!!! my parents were again at another conference with a different company 3 weeks ago...they decided to be very generous and send my dad an ipad2 for free. now im told i can use them "when i ask" hahahaha (they of course are kidding but are trying to keep up to date so they want to embrace them)

What gets me about iPad hater is that they don't understand that it is not supposed to be a standalone device like a laptop is. Complaining about things like no usb and no sd slot is like complaining that your civic doesn't have a truck bed. Well of course it doesn't have a truck bed its not a truck. The same with the iPad. It's not a laptop. Its a media consumption device. It is used to write small papers, play games, carry images, view mail and the internet in a comfortable viewing environment. It's not meant to hook up to an external monitor or to edit raw photos or even be used stationary. Eveyone is trying to dock the iPad and add keyboards and try to turn it into a laptop. It isn't a laptop if you want a laptop buy a laptop.
