How can I Install a JVC CD Receiver into my 2005 Honda Civic Coupe?

I have a JVC KD-R520 CD Receiver that I would like to install into my 2005 Honda Civic Coupe. I have not taken out the stock one, so I need to know how to do that too. Can I do this myself without a high risk? I am not good with cars at all, but I have built a computer before, If that can sum up how much I know... But is there any good links or instructions and tips you can give me on how to do this myself, or is it a better idea to pay 100$ to have it installed at a local car shop?

Sorry if I left anything out, but I'm more than happy to give more details.

:welcome:

its easy:
take your dash apart maybe ask bestbuy for some tools to remove your stock deck pull it out and cut the harness wires. (leave room on both sides in case you ever want to put the stock one back in

then hopefully your jvc wire colors match stock if not look up the wiring diagram for your car and the jvc should have it on the bottom. (be careful not to touch yellow main battery line to any others and do that one last.)

strip the ends of the jvc wires and stock, twist them together then solder for a good connection and tape or shrink wrap.

hopefully you have an anti-theft mounting bracket. mount that by bending the tabs out and put the dash back together.
if you want new dash plastic i have it brand new for your car 10$ plus shipping

and post some pics of the car!
