#1; take off panel under steering wheel (2 screws on the bottom, 1 above the pwr mirror) then you'll find two screws 1 up top and 1 on the bottom, then take everything out of glove box and pinch in sides of glove box , then there will be 2 screws on the side 1 top 1 bottom, then you'll take that panel off w/ the 12v supply (cigarette lighter) don't pull too hard and rip the plug off the back of the socket, then once you get the panels off there are 4 screws underneath the dash that you take out and wala it will come out of dash, then unhook the climate control plugs and it will be totally in your hands, then take out screws on the side of the radio and pull gently and everything should fall out of placeLongGrain said:well were hookin up my system but we cant seem to get the stock head unit out of the car, we already removed the center console and stuff but the head unit is bein stubborn and wont come out.

no bought my car and it didnt have the owners manual, shouldnt the code be the same for all 6th gens? i thought it was a universal thingCRX_dude said:they shoul have given you the code when you bought the car... or it should be in your glove compartment... if not then get to guessin or get an aftermarket one..
thanx alot anfelope, we got it all workin againanfrey said:on some cars (such as mine), the code is on a sticker on the trunk lid. look there. it is five digits.
and the point of the code is to deal with theft. that's why it's not one universal code for all 6gens. that would be redundant and stupid.
