How much compression to run on an E85-capable engine on 6-7 psi boost?

I'm thinking about getting an Edelbrock Performer X turbo kit for my D16Y8, which runs 6-7 psi normally. I still have the stock 9.6:1 compression pistons, on pump gas, is that too much compression? What would be the most compression I could run on E85? Because I was hoping to get some 10.5:1 CR forged pistons. Would that be too much for 6-7psi?

guy, if your gona have the motor apart and do pistons, do it correct the first time. Rods, rings, rod bearings, pistons and a valve spring/retainer set. Not to mention all the related gaskets. As for a 9.5:1 ratio, it's fine for that amount of boost. 9:1 is best for forced induction.

:word:

i wouldnt go with 10:1 if you plan to run boost....try to stick with around 9:1 or even your 9.5:1 that you have now is fine....

i mean sure you can run 10:1 with boost...but its a lot harder to tune....and you have more chance of detonation
