How much gas does a turbocharge waste

I'm just wondering, let's say you got a brand new 2004 SI and you decide to put a turbo charge.....how much gas will be wasted if you put it. For example the SI normally wastes 9.0L per 100km (city), what would it be with a turbo charge in it?

it depends. if you stay out of boost, it shouldnt affect it very much. if your leadfooting it all the way, your mileage will go down the crapper.

If youre going to get a turbo, but care about gas, you cant handle the expense.
You - "Oh yea I can, I made money at my lemonade stand blah blah blah"

Me - "You might be able to afford a turbo kit, but that doesnt mean that you can fix it when you break it."

You - "Ill never brake it, I know everything about everything."

Me - "Wrong. Something expensive will eventually brake, then you'll either have a loan and a debt or no car."

Its just so much faster to do arguments like that.

Im saying that if hes concerned about something like milage (unless its some kind of environmental/polution thing) he doesnt need to spend the cash for forced induction.

i really dont care about gas mileage on my turbo i run 6-10lbs, if you can afford a turbo you shouldnt be complaining about gas
