well, psi is just a measurement of air pressure, 7 psi on a t88 is alot diff from 7 psi on a t25, and i will be using a t3/4 just to mention it

6-7 psi should give you good gains and keep your motor in good shape, but there's a kid on here running 10psi on stock internals, he hasnt had any problems since he put it on over a year ago... it has alot to do with the tuning

damn, on a t3/4? thats pretty impressive, ill probably be using the safc, is it better to run a lil rich to keep it safe?

keep it under 200 whp tops with a high quality fuel managment. if your using a safc, keep it under 170.

ummm how about what size you t3/t4 you are using, then we can tell you how much pressure you will need to push in order to reach your hp number. there are like 40 different t3/t4's..... by saying "im using a t3/t4" is very vauge. 220hp is a good number, its high enough for daily driving, but safe enough to not blow your motor.

again.......take your ass to turbod16.com and look at some of their dyno numbers and set-ups. There are quite a few stock block D's puttin' out good numbers as well as built motors. Keep in mind that there are many variables in dertermining how much whp you can pull out of any motor set-up

You will be safe at 6-7 pounds; I have friends that have run that for about four years now.Still runnin' strong too, as long as you maintain and respect your car...............Who mentioned a t-88? that was retarded....that motor would maybe start spoolin that turbo at the end of fourth gear...............and it would be at redline to do so. An over the counter kit is your best bet(Greddy, Edelbrock, Drag). The turbo is about the same as a stock turbo eclipse, small but cool for that motor. A t3/t4 set up is way overkill, unless you are planning on building the motor, 10 psi would be teasing a turbo like that because it would be too easy too boost up, too easy to pop that motor. But if your gonna build it, you may as well start thinkin HYBRID............alot cheaper and alot faster.....................................PEACE

dood, shut the f**k up. the t-88 comparison was only to prove a point. you should NOT base youre goals on psi, you should base them on how much power you want to make and where in the band. the drag kit sucks, never buy it. the edlebrock kit sucks too, their fuel managment is almost as bad as greddys. back to what i said before, there are 40 variations of t3/t4 turbos, dont just f**kin say "t3/t4" cuz you could be talking about a f**kin 60 or 70 trim....be specific f**k sack.

how bout no. a smaller t3/t4 turbo, like something in the area of .48 will be just fine.

what the f**k are you talking about?? It seems that you are saying that a t3/t4 is too big to use, so only pushing 10 pounds would spool too easy and blow the motor??? makes no sense at all. and whats up with this hybrid s**t, you have no f**king clue what you are saying. im gonna go ahead and take it as "custom" built turbo system.

with a rhb5 turbo using nothing but a fmu, you can SAFELY run 10lbs....ive seen it done..and i see it everyday. fmu is fine up to about 10psi....im using psi now cuz im relating it to the fmu, not the motor. (just clarifying before anyone gives me s**t)

Key word here...TUNING....thats where its at.....good tuning with lower boost will beat out a non tuned engine on a higher boost.

Stock D16 motors can hold up to 300hp on stock internals. Thats the highest that I've heard, and do not know about the current status of the motor. My guess is that it blew though. It all depends on tuning and condition.... start with ~.5 bar and move up from there. Uberdata rocks for this.... its CHEAP (free for the software, ~$100 for the hardware, and you get data logging).. just use low boost, upgrade your fuel map, data log, refine, retest, refine, retest, refine, retest, refine etc. until your maxing out your A/F-Ratio.

hack is garbage also but better than an fmu

its never a smart idea to block ur map sensor when one is boosting
and 10psi on an fmu is dangerous because ur fuel lines are nearing 100psi if not more, explosions may occur
oh ya and it burns a lot more gas than needed not only hurting performance but ur budget
