Hey guys. As you know, a clean and well looked after civic is getting harder and harder to find. So I've been doing some research and have been looking into the pros and cons of taking civic and integra shells and restoring them to desirable quality and selling them to people. The idea behind it is to pull the blown/trashed motor and tranny out, remove and repair any serious rust (rear quarter panels, etc) and prepping the shells for paint (body work, replace missing trim, etc) and leave the shells as a primered and "ready for paint". I would replace any suspension parts that needed replacing ( bad outer tie rods, etc). But the thing I haven't been able to figure out is how much something like that would be worth. So, I bring the question to you all; What would you be willing to pay for a totally complete shell (we'll use an ek hatch as an example) that is primered, prepped, and ready for you to implant the motor of your choice? Would it be worth more if it was already painted in a desirable color? (Championship white, etc)
