So i just rebuilt my b18b1 motor in my 94 integra. The only special part in the rebuild is the ARP headstuds.

I will be boosting the motor. Now the fun part, i have been told i can safely hold around 250 whp. Im looking for opinions on the subject to see if yall agree with this statement.

Also the current tranny is an auto(will be switched when destroyed) I was told that around 250 whp, the tranny will not survive for a long period of time. Again im checking to see if this is correct and/or someone has done this and all that is bs.....

thanks for looking.

oh and also the turbo im using is one of those pos turbos 57 trim.

keep the motor (i guess) and buy a clean gsr shell for 1k, you'll spend more than that just converting yours to manual.

Not true if his car is already b series he needs a resivour, pedal assembly shift linkage and ecu oh and shifter if he pulls it from a junkyard it would be close to 500.

As for ur ls, unless yu dosome head work don't run more then like 8lbs on a stock ls and don't forget to toon it.
Also yu have a break in period on new setups like a re freshe motor. And when yu go boost yu will have a new brake in period.

Stock LS are good for boost. I'm boosting 10psi a 60 trim with 100% stock internals. Only problem I'm seeing is that the headstuds aren't holding up, and head is lifting from the block... Just gotta get new headstuds.

And correct, you can get 250whp out of a stock LS. I'm currently at 242whp.

As for the transmission the automatic tranny will not hold up.. time to switch that b***h to stick! Might as well do it BEFORE or when you turbo, it will make things easier in the long run. I did the same with mine, and it was a great investment. There is a how-to on this site with the parts you need, etc... just do a search and you should be able to find it no problem.

250 whp is safe on that motor with proper tuning. What are you tuning it with? And like was said the auto tranny wont last long so start gathering those 5-spd conversion parts. You could find the pedal assembly and most parts for cheap at the junkyard.Or you might find someone parting out a teg and get parts for cheap.

Switch the transmission before boosting, trying to destroy yours(you don't have to try very hard) will only bring you more problems in the future. Do everything at once and don't do a half-ass job if you want to boost your car propertly.
