Word.

So just wondering what you other FMIC equiped guys had to do to get your car to run cool. I've got the 28" end to end, like 22" core AND an all-aluminum radiator and the focker goes up as high as 240 on the highway with the heater running in 50 degree weather.

The car only runs hot on highway and I know it is an airflow issue because I removed the FMIC and ran straight pipe and the car wouldn't go above 200 or 205.

So yeah. Share your mod please.

i dunno man.... i ran my turbo car to the york meet and back in the 85+ degree weather and no problems

thats with the IC in the way... i had stock cooling. are your fans working? maybe you need to upgrade your fan to a slimline fan that pushes more air? thats what some people are doing... you said you have an aluminum rad. try a stock radiator. i remember you saying you got it off ebay or something. definatly try a stocker in there. also try running with no front bumper but the FMIC in place. see what happens.

do you still have the a/c condenser or air blocking piece next to the rad?

There was no condenser- apparently A/C was optional. There is a block off plate there.

as a slight update, it seems my fan might be spinning backwards. . . yeah. funk that. Gotta check it out under natural light but as far as I know you want to pull fresh air through the rad, not blow hot engine bay air out the front right?

yea air should be entering the engine. not going the other way out.

I think it was just the flourescent lights making it look that way. I tried many times to get it to spin the wrong way and it wouldn't.

On another note, it spins the right way but if I put a piece of paper behind the fan, (between engine and fan) it sucks the paper to the fan! So weird, and I think the problem is the air cannot flow through the radiator adn this is the problem.

what kind of fan do you have, factory or aftermarket?
a large aftermarkt will help while you in traffic and stuff, for the highyway i would sajest that you get some tin or alum flashing and build a shroud to force air into the rad while driving down the road, rather then it letting the air flow around the rad and not through
