how to hook up a vtec controller

The question my friend was trying to ask is what color wire from the ecu does it connect to the vtec controller. The diagram i have does not show exactly which pin it is.

Srry to be kinda off topic, but what are the benefits of having a vtec controller? I know it adjusts the vtec curve and fuel but what are the performance gains? Because i was thinking about getting one.

it slightly helps to tune your car if you have a decent amount of engine mods... the stock vtec engagement point is designed to perform best with a stock or slightly modded engine...

allot of people dont like vtec controlers... me... personally... I will be using a VAFCII shortly to tune my gf's z6 turbo setup

i think vafc is good thing for a mid to mid high all motor setup. with f/i or fully built n/a u would wanna go wit hondata to cpletely remap ur ecu/
