how to install capacitor??

how can i charge my capacitor? cz i just got an autopipe capacitor for running my cuzin wires in his car but im not sre if it is charged or not. how do i carge it and install?????:

There should be what looks like a light bulb with wires on it. You can charge it with that. Install goes as follows.

RED wire from battery to cap +
Black wire ground to cap -

You can split the grounds for 2 amps or just run the ground to the amp

For the power you can also use a splitter if you have 2 amps, if not run a wire to the amp from the cap

That is about the stupidest thing I have ever heard, The reason caps have trickle chargers is that a burst of current woth no resistance in line can explode a faulty cap like a hand grenade or ruin the cap. A cap charges instantly not eventually.

The cap should have came with a resitor to charge it with. If it didn't come with a resistor you can use an alarm siren as the resistor. Ground the cap, and put the negative wire of the siren on the positive post of the cap, then put the positive wire of the siren on your power wire. The alarm will start screaming, as the cap charges it will eventually fade to hardly anything. When it gets to that point the cap is charged
