for the most part it should be just a bolt on thing
very simple

I just installed a greddy evo cat back system on my 99 Dx. Its all bolt on-direct fit. I didn't have to do anything special to make mine fit, just make sure you have a can of liquid wrench as some of the nuts & bolts on the stock system will be very tough to get off with out having an impact wrench. It's all fairly simple to put on, and like I said, should be a direct fit.

If you don't mind, please post a sound clip of the Evo2 cat-back in action... thanks.

ok, heres a quick how to...

step one- jack car up

step two- unbolt muffler section and remove rubber hangers

step 3- unbolt old mid pipe at the cat. and remove rubber hangers

step 4- reverse these steps with new exhaust, dont forget new gaskets

I'll try get a sound clip. Also, about the gaskets the Evo2 came with only two gaskets is it supposed to be this way? aren't therer supposed to be 3 gaskets? the EVO 2 is the same thing as the EVO 1 the only difference is that all the piping is stainless steel instead of ceremic coated.

yea, it goes between the back of the cat and the midpipe, then one between the midpipe and muffler. you dont need to take the cat off

It's not that big of a difference between that and the original EVO. It's a bit throatier, but it's not really that big of a deal IMO. My firend just got his installed on his 98 Ex, but that's really his only mod, so it may, and probably will sound alot better with more mods.

The evo system I got only had two gaskets also. Just to be on the safe side i went out and bought another gasket (the one with 3 holes) it's only a few bucks, and it'll save you from worrying about it. But you should only need the two gaskets that came with it.
