how to remove this part (PIC)

How do i remove this part i want to drill into it to put in my vtec light

u have to cut it really carefully... with dremo.

well, that being a 6th gen... i'm not sure how that piece goes back in...

but what's your plan for getting to "stay" once you have your light installed? glue?

Just take that whole black piece (that goes around the radio, climate control out, then drill your hole and put the led that way, those parts are connected with the rest of the bezel.

agreed, you need to remove the whole thing. I just replaced the entire area myself. to do so you have to pop out the hazard light and rear defroster sections (you'll find a screw in each hole). Also you need to remove the panel below that area where your cig lighter is. there are two screws on each side up in there that are tricky to get to but can be done. unclip a couple of wires, drill your hole and reverse the above steps to put it back together. If you need me to I can take some pics of those hard to reach screws but I hope you can find them without me having to take apart my car.

The easiest way to be able to get the cig lighter panel off is to remove the glove box & the panel below your steering wheel, its alot of removal but doesn't take that long at all...

wtf, why would he use a dremel to take it out to drill a small hole. Then he'd have to somehow manage to glue it back in while making it look decent.

just do what the emo kid said and take it all out then drill the hole
