How To Stance Your Civic

I don't know much about how to stance your car and I've tried researching how to do it but I'm still clueless. Is there a specific type of wheel you have to buy or can you stance your car with any wheels and people write numbers for tires and I'm not pretty sure what they mean. I just want to know exactly how to do it step by step and I also heard you need to buy a camber kit.

Stance is really just how low your car is, and how your wheels are tucked. Most kids running around with "stanced" cars just slap on shitty coilovers, max them out so they have horrible negative camber, and call it a day. This will wreck your suspension, tires, and rims in the long run. What you SHOULD do:
Invest in a good suspension package. I'd suggest fully adjustable coil overs (Function and Form, Progress CS-II's etc.), and a camber kit as well. People will argue that you don't need a camber kit, but if you're slamming your car, you're going to want one regardless.
Offset plays a huge role in "stance" as well. Offset, put in layman's terms, is how wide your wheels sit from the fender/wheel well of your car. A negative offset gives wheels a "deep dish" look, a positive offset will place them a bit further out from the fender/wheel well. I'd drop by a reputable shop that knows their wheel s**t and talk to someone about what you want.
Tires are important as well. There's a "stretch" trend going on right now, where people will take super thin tires and stretch them on rims they normally wouldn't quite fit on, to give the car a lower ride height. I wouldn't ever do this, and I don't recommend ANYONE to do it, but to each their own.

If you know so little about doing it or what all of this stuff means, why are you interested in doing it at all?

I'm a girl lol so I don't know much of how to do stuff.
L-O-f***ing-L.. Found my sig material finally after being on this forum for 4 years

Camber kits are almost a must in order to make the car sit the way you want. Totally pointless, but I can see why people like it.

lets try to keep the flaming to a minimum here.

as for your goal to stance the car, i recommend you dont. it is not some simple buy coilovers and throw wheels on. there is a lot of prep work needed, s*** is going to break weather you like it or not, and there is a lot of planning you need to do. you need to do your research

also the car is going to ride pretty badly, you will not be able to go anywhere you want. there will be routes you can not take, stores you cant go to, driveways you wont make it up. body is going to take a beating, and chances are you have a stock exhaust that wont survive. hit a pot hole to hard and there is a possibility you just popped your bead, hit roadkill and s**t breaks, see a rock in the road? bye bye oil pan, header, or trans case

moral of the story, prepare for driving to be difficult and ready to spend money

I like how it looks and plus I'm a girl lol so I don't know much of how to do stuff.
Ahhhh! THIS is why girls like me hate girls like this. I'm a girl. I work on my own car, truck, motorcycle, my moms truck, my cousins car, etc.. you get the point. Just because you don't know something, don't use the "I'm a girl" card. Try reading up on whatever it is & use your best judgement. If you still don't get it, then ask questions. :D
