How to sync gas gauges on a new cluster?

I am going to install a OEM tachometer cluster in my '96 DX 5-Speed. (I think it's essential having a tachometer in a 5-Speed)
How would I go about making the gas gauges read the same levels as my current gas gauge?
I cannot manually move the new one for fear of breaking it off.
Does my car have the plug in for the tachometer?

Every 96-00 civic has the tachometer pre wired into the harness connector, that swap is completely plug and play. Turn the car on before re-installing the new cluster with tachometer, to make sure that the gauges are all functioning properly on the replacement. You can also remove your odometer gauge and swap it into the replacement cluster before installing to retain actual vehicle mileage. There should be 4 tiny screws on the back holding it in. After removing all 4 screws, place the cluster face down gently onto a soft surface or towel, and remove the back from the odometer. That way it won't fall out and break. =)

So when I get the new cluster I don't have to worry about the fuel gauge being incorrect reading?

Nope, as long as nothing is wrong with the cluster you get.

Same here. When I swapped out my DX cluster for an EX cluster, everything worked as normal. No need to calibrate the fuel/temp gauges.
