my steering wheel doesnt lock up because someone broke it while trying to steal my car, so i bought a whole new steering column.. how do you take off the steering column and replace it with the new one?
its just really bothersome to know someone can just start up my car without the key and drive away because the steering wheel doesnt lock up.. or i was thinking of jsut getting a quick release.

Start the car because the wheel doesn't lock? They can't start the car because of that, but they can turn the wheel. Which would probably be pretty difficult if the car has power steering.
I'd really recommend you get this done elsewhere though. This involves the airbag. if you don't know about removing the airbag, don't do it.
