how would i put more power down to the ground.

I have a 203 whp civic. I want it to handle better than it does now, If i launch at a high rpm it spins the wheels too much, I'm thinking of upgrading my wheels/tires setup to 16x8 or wider, currently have 15x7, better tires might help too but i have brand new kumho tires.

It also sucks at cornering, might be because i have no power steering but turning sharp corners is not so easy, and it starts to get major understeer. I was thinking about getting an H brace, upper and lower rear/front braces and energy suspension bushings. maybe motor mounts too, not sure how much that affects but it shouldn't hurt.

this may sound rice but I need racing seats, my old rx7 kept me in my sit firmly, but the stock civic seats are too flat and don't support me when turning hard, I want to start doing autox next year so I think racing seats would help the most.

what do you guys think? would you do all that or is it a huge waste of money?

What kind of suspension do you have? Bigger wheels would help but also slow you down

Wider tires are not going to correct the issue. You either need to correct your suspension settings (sounds like your alignment is not spec if you have that much understeer), and/or upgrade your tranny to add LSD.

If you need a good, relatively innexpensive and lightweight bucket seat you should look at the Buddy Club Racing Spec :thumbs up

Don't take off at high rpm's? I used to get out of the dig at around 3500 rpms. You need to test it out and find the right spot.

It's FWD. Wheel hop and spin is inevitable. LSD would be a big help with launching if you don't already have it.

Motor mounts would help more with wheel hop than with cornering. I don't think you should be mashing on and letting off the gas mid-turn though if you already are.

I'd get your alignment checked like Billy said. Also, wider tires won't help. Tire composition is more important than tire width. Get a nice sticky summer tire. There is plenty of information on here and other Honda forums regarding tires.

I would personally recommend not doing an H-Brace and underbody braces. It looks like you have a DX? I assume you don't have a rear sway bar? If not, if you can afford it, I'd recommend a 19+mm rear sway bar and subframe reinforcement brace. You could get away with an OEM (13mm Si or 14mm GSR) one if you can't afford the beefier alternatives. What spring/shock setup are you on now?
