some parts of the ebay kits work and they can be decent. But you can run into problems, and you'll prob end up replacing the turbo at some point.

he probably bought it, realized how cheap it was and how much more he'd have to invest to make it reliable, so he made up the wrecked car story to sell the kit and minimize his losses

GODSPEED sucks, I ordered from them before and they gave me a huge hassle when they didn't send seat rails. They also refused to reply to any emails. Once I finally threatened to take out a claim against them on paypal they sent my item. Nothing but a pain in the ass!

Yes. start researching and researching, and then piece together your own kit. you'll most likely end up with a better quality setup that makes more power and will be more reliable.

1K....hmm, it'd be difficult. I am/was still in the same boat as you (price-wise) but Im at $1400-$1500 and im still not done. You have to keep in mind that shop labor (if you dont wanna tackel install yourself) is hella expensive, you need a good tune, misc expenses for random parts. I'd say 2k is a better goal

your power goal isnt a problem. its very realistic for a stock motor. you just have to shop wisely and $1000 reliable turbo setup is not out of the question but will be challenging
