I have 1999 civic dx what do i have obd1 or obd2? Im asking because i need the wiring stuff because I just got a 1997 d16y8 dropped into my 99 dx. I was also wondering if i could get a obd converter instead of getting the whole 96-00 civic ex wirng harness.

you have obd2 and you can use your wiring harness, you just need to wire in vtec

actually the plugs seem to be way different, plus no one i know seems to know how to do it.
