......to get going on putting a turbo kit together!!!!!

I was talking to a friend who happens to be a DSM head about boosting my car. I expressed my concerns over money, etc. I also told him I'd sourced an exhaust manifold with T25 flange and internal waste gate by HKS. Then he told me that most of what I need to put together a simple turbo kit can be found on DSM trader sights and ebay. He told me I could get what I need for possibly less than a grand.....that's a whole hell of a lot more appealing than 3 grand. He even recommended a place to fab a charge pipe and intercooler piping.

I was on the edge of just staying N/A...but now I'm sure I'm going to start buying up turbo components. I placed a bid on a turbo tonight and I'm currently the highest bidder....swaaeeeet. Well there are 9 days left to bid, so we'll see what happens.

and for anyone that's read some of my previous post....my exhaust in the trunk of my car. I'm going to go by the muffler shop after work and see if they have time to hang it! Sorry about my rambling, but I get excited when I start talking about boooooooost.

If you have freinds that are boosted or find some good deals on used turbo parts you usally can piece together a decent kit for pretty cheap. Just dont hack your fuel system because that is one key component that will cause damage to your motor if not done right. Good luck on the bid and let us know if you win.

i was thinking a Apex-i AFC II for air/fuel managment. I'm just going to run 6-8 psi so I might leave the stock injectors. Or I might pick up some 310cc injectors from a DSM and an aftermarket fuel rail and have it machined.

and i'll most definatley let y'all know if i win the bid on the turbo. it's a T25 garret out of a 98 gsx...no oil lines, but hell those aren't too expensive.

yeah i know.

i did get my HP Racing cat-back on today.....ummmm sounds nice, pulls harder in 3rd and 4th.

I know the vision for my car keeps changing, but I think my budget is going to dictate what I'm going to do. I honestly feel I'll be able to follow through with this home-made turbo kit. I'm still winning the bid on the T25 Mitsu turbo, but there's still 8 days left...hopefully no one will want it. I've looked around at injectors and Supra TT SMIC's, those are pretty cheap. Cool thing about side mount is the sleeper aspect. Those intercooler's can support close to 500 ponies....i'm only looking for 170-200 whp.

Basically the idea is to spend a little money here and there until I'm ready to put it together. The next thing I'll buy probably will be the exhaust manifold because it's going to be on of the most expensive single items I'll need.

Anyhow....my springs are still sitting by my computer desk...haha ( I suck) and my cheap intake is still in the shipping process. I can't wait to get it and slap it on. It will keep me happy until I can finish this whole turbo kit thing. That's gonna take some time. That's the only part that sucks....the wait. It's like waiting for christmas....the closer it gets the further away it seems.
