i don't think you woiuld have to raise it. I have 17's and when i switch it from stock rims to those it doesn't really make a difference. The stocks are a little lower, but it shouldn't be that much different. oh yea the 16's might scratch the wheel well if you lowered your car that much.antivic said:right now i have 13inch steeliesand the car is dropped like...an ankle off the floor...and i wanna buy 16 inch rimzos do i have to get my car higher? or will the rims make no difference? i can't get this out my mind...
if that did havppen you could just roll your fendersantivic said:thank you =] i was afraid of the rubber touching the fenders...but i guess theres alot more to itthank you again =]
this along with what was said right below it are toatlly contradicting statments. camber does come from lowering you car, but if you want to go low and have the tire inside the wheel well then you need camber, if you didn't have it then your tire would hit your fender. i don't see a need to raise it up if you like it low you will be fine just go with a +42 off set wheel, and a 205/40/16 tire, and you shouldn't have a problemslambed_civic said:youre goin to have a problem with camber, so yes raise it up a bit
well imagine a civic on stock 13s slammed... thats gotta be on the ground! camber is bad especially when you have a 40 series tires because theres only so much sidewall to roll in turns. so raise it up a lil, roll your fenders, and put some meat on the ground.slammed_93_hatc said:this along with what was said right below it are toatlly contradicting statments. camber does come from lowering you car, but if you want to go low and have the tire inside the wheel well then you need camber, if you didn't have it then your tire would hit your fender. i don't see a need to raise it up if you like it low you will be fine just go with a +42 off set wheel, and a 205/40/16 tire, and you shouldn't have a problem
