ok, how practical would it be to boost a b18 with 10.5:1 CP on pump gas. And it to be a DD? With a good tune on the dyno, would it be safe? I'm asking because the engine I bought came with JE pistons.

well, since I'm still kinda new to this. I was thinking maybe a garret t3/t4oe with a 57 trim...as for boost. I wanna try to push near 400hp. Oh yeah, I'm gonna put in eagle H-beams too.

oh, my bad. So, with JE pistons, eagle rods, stainless steel valves and maybe a balance crank; What can my engine handle?

no i meant pump gas, i think you would want to run 93 or 95. but again it depends on your tune, you can get a tune that aims for the most HP and run race gas, or you can get a tune that dumps a lot of fuel and run pump gas. with the setup you mentioned 400hp is definetely within reach.

you can also tune 2 fuel maps so you could run pump gas without a problem making a lil less power, and then when you really wanna give er hell switch fuel maps and put some race gas in there.

:suprise: awsome, and that's possible on honed stock sleeves? This'll be a great winter project.
