Basically, lol. I stopped caring, since it's my first car. Auto or Manual civic wouldn't make a difference since... theyre both slow as balls anyway.(no offense civic owners) Plus, it enables my parents to be able to use it if they ever need it, so it's fine with me.

The thing is... how the hell do you just stretch the thing over the knob though...

i had one on my old auto. it just had elastic around the bottom. you just take the knob off and the center console, slip the boot over and replace everything. 5 minutes tops

nobody really said much when i had mine, i didnt have it long because i converted the car though. as long as he doesnt try to shift it like its a stick or tell people its a stick itll be fine. if he wants to dress it up a little its his car

type R shift boots do fit, you need to remove the knob to change them. and spoon makes automatic shift knobs that look just like the manual ones but the center presses down. talk to umm, i wanna say his username is hkt03 i may have the wrong dude. i saw it at the last clubcivic meet.

EDIT: affirmative on the username, and you already posted in the thread so my post was useless

The type r fits perfectly, slips into the slots and screws down. I got my boot off ebay.
