Ok, I'm looking at adding a sub to my system, and I have my eye on the 12" pre 2005 alpine type R. (The 300 W RMS one) I already have type R coaxials for my fronts and rears, run by an alpine MRP-F240.
My question is twofold. I'm going to have this one sub, not two, am I better with a 2 + 2 ohm or 4 +4 ohm? And, what amp (preferably Alpine, I'm very happy with my setup) would be best to hook up to this sub? I'm not looking to win any competitions here, I just want an amp that will give the sub enough power. would an MRP-M350 be adequate? (specs on www.alpine.com under Products >Car Audio >Amplifiers >VPower Series Amplifiers )
Thanks for any help, and I'm kinda drunk so sorry if this post is poorly worded
