Hey guys. I dunno if anyone has encountered this problem before, but I certainly haven't.
Over the last week or two my car's been missing the first time I'll try starting it. I've not thought anything of it until this morning, when I went to leave for work. Out of nowhere my car wouldn't start. I tried two or three times before I got it to grab. I figured I'd shut it off and give it a second go, just make sure it's fine and won't quit you know? Well that's when the fun began. Turned it to the off position and took the key out....while the car was running :/ put the key back in, tried accessory and did nothing, put it in run and it just kept cranking the starter. Tried turning it off a second time with more success than the first time, drove my dad's huge white windowless cargo van to work and here I sit :/
I know Honda recalled a bunch of cars over ignition switches, but those were stalling. I seem to have quite the opposite problem. Sorry if there's another thread on this but I've not seen this problem anywhere. Car is a 2000 civic ex coupe with 293k miles on the original engine and automatic transmission
Thanks for any and all help/advice
