hey all

well, hitting the rev limiter sucks, and i needed a shift light

i didnt wanna go the route of the big ass tach on the dash, so i swapped out my stock cluster, for one out of a honda civic ex...

BUT, now i still need help when racing because i'm often hearing the 4 banger go "BABABABABA" so i need just a shift light

and i found one... www.raptorperformance.com

this thing is gonna be awesome...

NOW...does anyone know how to install it? i.e.: what wires to hook it up to?

I'd greatly appreciate it...thanks!

yea its really easy but takes time, i installed one for my cuz's car, well like it said do the power and the negative , the obvious steps

but to get it to work , well like you said you have a tach on the new gauge cluster, so now take it out fully so you just are staring at a bunch of wires, look for the harness which is the one for the tach on the cluster, the manual shoudl show but i think its the one that connets right behind it

once you have th harness, set the shift light at like 4000 to 4500 rpm, now the harness has open ports as it should female.

now what idid was stick the wire for the shifter light into each hole one at time until i know i was catching high revs, and do this until the light turns on , when it turns on at what you think is 4000 or 5000 rpms, then you have found the
output wire, just splice it and connect, put everything together the gauge back and now you have a working tach light
