I want a new setup

I got 4 grand.... abd about to get 1500 more....

i wanted to go type-r and turbo, slevves and reinforsed pistons, whatever gets me to a very safe boost...
ill pull a loan so it doesnt matter...

well... the problem is...

ppl are sayin gthat ls turbo is better than vtec turbo becuase vtec turbo needs much more maintanace....
my friend did his whole type-r b18c engine setup for 20 grand, but he was running 9's...

i dont want that muich... i want around 400hp to the wheel, or something that will make me put down 11's...

anyways... there some guy selling me a b18c1, with type r head and internals, that puts out 200 hp to the wheel...

i dunno which way to go... but i kno ima have 5500 cash... and the rest ill just add it to the credit card.. hehe.. well max would be wasting like 7k...

so any suggestions for any plans..??

b18c1 is a very nice motor....you might want to get that and just turbo...if it has good built internals...you can boost pretty high to make 400hp no prob....although a b18c5 would be better lol

that or look into turboing a h22....prolly going to be more though than 5500.....

b18c1... i want it sleeved and reinforced pisons and cranks and all internals.... but can i run this on high compression rings or low comp.?.... since it is going to hae turbo in there....

i was also thining of going all motor... i mean b18c5 is 11:1 compression right... gettingt that and all light weight internals... and nos... that would put me out on 12' no?.... and about 250hp to the wheel?....

Hes assuming you can piece together your own setup, which is the way to go if your gonna boost.

anything quality is going to cost you about a G for the power he's looking at making.

i agree though.. READ and LEARN.

X2, just my turbo was 5 bills. $5500 isnt that much when it comes down to it, unless you are very efficient with money.

11:1 compression + boost and squeeze = a waist of money and a horrible ride home from the track with a smelly tow truck guy :lol: and if your plannin on runnin 12's, you need to look into traction bars, safety equipment, slicks and ummm...brakes. my friend has a high 11's low 12's all motor integra. it costs alot to be fast. i would suggest you get a b20 bottom end, sleeve it and get a gsr head. build the head and you can boost 12 lbs safely
